Seeing hundreds of thousands of people enjoy Sleeping Dogs makes all the blood, sweat and tears that United Front Games have put into development all worthwhile. But what really makes us smile, rejoice, and sometimes literally cry with laughter is seeing what the community do once the game is in their hands. You see connections, comedy, parodies, experiences, and opportunities beyond what we could ever envisioned or accomplish on our own. Be it funny videos or a cool mod, we're constantly surprised by the content that spawn from your creativity. With that in mind we've decided to celebrate our top 5 Sleeping Dogs videos to hit the internet.
1. Bloopers, Glitches & Silly Stuff - BenBuja
This isn't the first time we've featured BenBuja on the blog. Much like his Just Cause 2 videos he's captured the bugs, glitches and general silliness that sometimes happen. As games get increasingly more complex things don't always go as we planned, so it's nice to sit back and have a laugh about it.
2. First Person (MOD) - taltigolt
PC gamers have a natural affinity for mods and it's easy to see why. Seeing the community push the game beyond its original programming can create new game experiences we never intended. While it's still in the early stages of development this first person mod puts Hong Kong in a whole new light.
3. The Door is Ajar - Rooster Teeth
We're big fans of the Rooster Teeth crew and it's great to see their wicked sense of humour complimented by the unpredictable open world of Sleeping Dogs.
4. Shenmue Parody - DSimphonyHD
This one is for the diehard gamers amongst you. While SEGA may not have created an eagerly awaited third instalment in the Shenmue series, we can at least put on a leather jacket, ride a motorcycle and pretend.
5. Time Lapse - viiiizzzz
Open world games based on real locations are so autonomous and believable it's often easy to forget that there's a living world rushing by. This video takes a step back and looks at the beautiful landscape and life that goes on unnoticed in Sleeping Dogs.
