Deus Ex: The Fall PC edition heads to Steam

 15

Following last year’s release on mobile devices, we’re really happy to now announce that Deus Ex: The Fall is coming to Steam on March 25, and you can pre-order now!

The game’s been adapted for the PC, meaning (of course) full keyboard/mouse controls, but also a whole bunch of other little bits too - so if you didn’t fancy dipping into Ben Saxon’s story previously, now would be an eminently sensible time to reconsider. After all, the game was produced with the original creative team from the superb Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and there's the small matter of new tracks penned by none other than Michael McCann...

The Steam version will sell for £7.99/€9.99/$9.99, but if you pre-order the game now (or grab it for a limited time after launch) you’ll also get the original Deus Ex – Game of the Year Edition as well straight away, for free... and if you’ve already have DE:GOTY, you’ll be able to gift it to somebody else instead!

So what’s on the complete feature list, compared to last year's mobile version of the game?

  • No in-game purchase options
  • 28 Steam achievements
  • Adjusted AI
  • Steam Trading Cards, Badges and  (TBC)
  • Revised tutorial
  • Full keyboard and Mouse control optimisation
  • Rebalanced game economy taking into account no IAP
  • Microsoft Controller support
  • Removal of auto target options
  • Reduction in aiming reticule size
  • Choice in cover style as DXHR (HOLD or Toggle)
  • Resolution options
  • Anti Aliasing option
  • Vsync
  • Control maps for keyboard and gamepad

So while Eidos-Montreal continues to work on the hugely exciting plans for Deus Ex Universe and a full-on, triple-A Deus Ex game, you should definitely jump into Deus Ex: The Fall while you wait…

how do u set up the proxy settings?
And i'm seconding that Vita port. Igt makes no sense to me that we didn't get it forr thsat, I'd thought it'd have been a fairly simple ports frm android to vita... But then again, i dont know ****! But I sure would love to play my favourite series on the train. Without taking my laptop. I've already done that, but its a bit big to pull out on the train though!
@ Theodor70941 mate, No offence intended here, just an observation. But perhaps you might wanna research your topic before going on a rant about it, since if you look a little more carefully into what you were talking about, you'd realise that this game would've had little impact on development of the larger AAA title you are referring to. Reason being (if you checked) is that whilst Eideos Provided the PRODUCTION team (creative control, probably financial to some degree) But it was DEVELOPED (ie DESIGNED & PROGRAMMED) by a developer called N-Fusion. So it really took no major assests away from the developer of the next Deus Ex full retail title. And it follows that therefore it could POSSIBLY be delaying, or impacting in any significant way on the next "AAA" title (gee I loathe that term, what does it even mean?" I've played plenty of "Budget" or "Indie" titles that are far better than a great deal of their "AAA" big budget titles/franchises, Anyway mate, before you get on your high horse next time, make sure you check that your facts - If you'd done that today, maybe your high horse would haven't turned out to actually be a ****** DONKEY!
I agree fully with fredbob3 on this one. A PS Vita port would be astonishing, and with big games like Borderlands 2 coming to the platform a decently ported Deus Ex title would be amazing.
Having said that, a Vita port of the classic original DE would be nothing short of godly... or at least, cybernetically-enhanced-human-godly.
I would like to throw my hat in the ring for a port to the PS Vita. Since it can be played with a controller and a touch screen it would be perfect. And I am guessing that this is built in the same engine it was built in on the Android/iOS version, since changing engines would be a lot of unnecessary work.
Deus Ex The Fail... Just make a new AAA Deus Ex game (I know one is in development but make it faster and put more resources into it!)
now all we need is a console version, come on Square you know you want to
How better it will be on PC?Can we have a comparison video?
Which engine is used in PC-version? Unity or original one from DX: HR?
Please release this for PS4! Or at least Vita!
Will it be available in Russian?
No plan for PSVita ?

It's an ARM device like IOS and Android devices but nothing for this perfect mobile device ...
I did not found any option to pre order on steam "now", gotta wait i suppose ?
Sorry, we've had a problem with the link. We're working on getting it to you ASAP!
Nice. This will make Deus Ex fans who don't like mobile devices but want to experience the entire story happy. And the full Steam integration is very nice indeed. Now, if SE would make the same thing to the mobile remakes of Final Fantasy...
