FINAL FANTASY III Coming to OUYA

You'll be forgiven for perhaps not knowing what OUYA is, as it's only recently made its grand entry into the games industry in the last month. OUYA is the latest gaming hardware set to shake up the games market. Based on Android, this gaming platform is set to bring many of the features you love about mobile gaming to the comfort of your living room and your big TV. It's one of the latest high profile startups to get its funding through you, the gamer, using the Kickstarter crowd sourcing website.

 

 

Here at Square Enix we're very excited at the prospect of what OUYA can deliver and are delighted to announce that we'll be supporting them by offering FINAL FANTASY III on Ouya from launch. FINAL FANTASY III will come with renewed controller support and for the first time ever a free-to-try demo version for gamers to try too.

Does this mean PSN might get it someday? lol seriously, this is a really great game, and Im sure it'll help shape what OUYA will be in the future

Awesome! I love all final fantasy, i started playing since ff3. A lot of nostalgia incoming haha
FF3 for ouya has a price yet? Pre-ordered here for april :D

Never even heard of OUYA until I seen this post. Think I better go look it up immediately. Maybe I'll end up buying it just for this game. xD

It's certainly been ported or made for a number of different consoles, yes. :) Plenty of choice in what platform you want to play it on.
