It's with great excitement that we're please to announce that FINAL FANTASY VII has returned to PC and is available to download today.
As a much loved RPG and favourite amongst our fans we're worked hard to optimise FINAL FANTASY VII so that it can support modern hardware as well as introduce a number of new online features. Cloud saving (pardon the pun) will allow gamers to play to take their save anywhere that has an internet connection.
For the first time FINAL FANTASY VII comes with 36 achievements allowing fans to prove their worth and compete against each other to unlock them all. Finally FINAL FANTASY VII also comes with an optional Character Booster for those new to the game or find them stuck, maximising the players HP, MP and Gil levels.
FINAL FANTASY VII for PC is only available from the Square Enix Store. There is a special promotional launch price of €9.99 / £7.99 for a limited period only. (Offer ends 12th September. Standard price: €12.99 / £9.99).
Update [21st August 2012 @ 17:00]: While many people have now downloaded and are enjoying FINAL FANTASY VII for PC there are unsurprisingly a few issues that have come up so we'll address as many of them as we can in a FAQ below.
I have purchased the game from the SQUARE ENIX Store, but my activation key will not work in the game launcher. What can I do?
1) Log into this website using the "Log in" button in the top right corner of the screen.
2) Select "Add new game" from the top right corner drop-down menu, or follow this link.
3) Follow the instructions on screen using the activation key that you have been sent.
4) Once the game has been added to your Game Shelf, please run the game application again and log in with the account you have just used to register the product.
When launching FINAL FANTASY VII or activating my code on the website I get the following error messages: "Server error. Please try again." or "Your copy of FINAL FANTASY VII (PC) is already registered". What can I do?
We have identified an issue that is affecting a small number of people from activating or playing their copy of FINAL FANTASY VII. This issue has now been resolved and the affected customers should expect to receive an email update shortly.
I have purchased the game from the SQUARE ENIX Store, but have not yet received an activation key. What can I do?
We apologise deeply for this issue: our store servers are experiencing very strong traffic and we are working to fix this in the shortest amount of time.

I get "Error -6005" when trying to activate FINAL FANTASY VII for PC.
This occurs when the FINAL FANTASY VII for PC launcher is unable to connect to the activation servers. Please disable any firewalls or make sure that you add FINAL FANTASY VII for PC as an exception.
I'm unable to sync my local save with the cloud, what should I do?
We're currently investigating this issue and will advise you shortly of our progress. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.
