Gamer Chat: The End of an Era

You’ll probably have heard by now that FINAL FANTASY XIV has temporarily closed its doors, as we prepare to embark on a new stage in its journey with A Realm Reborn – but did you get involved in the server shutdown events, and have you seen the CGI trailer we released at the weekend to mark the occasion? We want to hear what FINAL FANTASY XIV means to you. What are your favourite memories, were you there at the end, and what are your most excited to see in FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn?

 

We'll be picking our favourite stories from the community and featuring them on the blog at the end of the week, so please feel free to say as much or as little as you want in the comments below. I don't think so , cause realm reborn beta isn't even out yet, so is two different version of games ....... Also heard that game is about to release the december of 2013 .. Is that true ? .. ( Admin respond please )

I need an information. I'm interested to play A Realm Reborn and I've found the previous FFXIV on Amazon for only 4,85 €, so, if I buy it, can I play A Realm Reborn when it will become available?

I really loved the 2 year's of playing FFXIV. Of yourse it wasn't always good times, somehow the lack of basic stuff like a mail-system was really frustrating. But the story, the community and the many good and happy experiences made up for it in the end. I played FFXIV from Beta 2 until the end 5 day's ago. And since i had so much to say, i send you an e-mail with some screenshots in it.

I Bought The Collectors Edition Of Final Fantasy XIV At Blockbusters The Other Day For £2, It Was The Day After The Servers Were Taken Down Awaiting The Release Of A Realm Reborn

As for me a Ps3 user & others Ps3 users feel Let down that how i feel it as we Missed out on it.

i keep on thinking this Whole FF14 experience announcement was a mess a Bug broken game with a broken promise, while i Never slated the game because i never Play it, looking forward to the "unbalance" "unadvantage" experience of FF14 every FF i play is a joy it be my 1st ever MMORPG i download the F2P the DCUO but never play it yet.

but when Ps3 users start playing it we will still be as disadvantage as the ones that started the 1st FF14 you carry stats forward to the new game am i right.

anyhow Im sure there be no more of saying 1 thing at E3 & End up doing the other.

Oh, and what im most excited to see in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn are the new scenarios, it has improved a lot.

My new PC Gaming rig didn't arrive until it was too late to play XIV in it's original guise but I'm very excited about Realm Reborn. I loved the end of an era video - so much emotion at the failed final confrontation and yet hope for the future too (corny I know but it felt that way to me). I loved XI for it's sense of community and I can't wait to get involved again and make new friends.

Final Fantasy XIV means to me a good story, friends and fun. I was at the end, that did not work very well, but it was worth it for the final video. I think it's the first time a mmorpg has had get to the bottom of so many people, causing them a lot thrilled to see the end cutscene "End of an Era". I felt very excited and every time I saw the video that day I came shivers.

Had 14 as a present a while back and was just about to start playing, darn haha :) will I still be able to play realm reborn or would I need a new game disc etc?
