Odd there's been no new blogs or any other news in the past 7 days? ******
Apologies for the lack of blog posts lately. I had to take some emergency leave.
Since we are on the subject of new idea's, how about a little edit button for our comment's? So we won't need to post twice if we forget to add anything to the post ect. And also a Square Enix Community App for Android, IOS, ect. Good way to make the website mobile friendly and easier way to access the site if we are out and about or too lazy to turn on our computers! :P You could also intergrate the 'Guest Posting' feature into the app, as well as other things, purchasing games to later download on computers when we switch them on. Im sure you can think of great idea's for it!
1. Laguna is indeed Squall's father.
2. The only relation between Griever and Squall's ring is that in the final battle Ultimecia read Squall's mind to see what he considered the strongest being and then created Griever based on that.
3. There's no real explanation for Squall recovering from the wound except "it's magic".
These kind of mysteries are not only present in Final Fantasy VIII but in other games as well. I think this way, fans would be able to express their opinion and present different views.
I think the quiz should be an integrated part of the website and members who answer the questions correctly should receive points and be listed in a leaderboard.
As for me potentially blogging about something, maybe I could post some of my own and others art based on SE games, maybe showcase a bit of everything SE fans have made and posted online to show their love for the games. I don't really have much of a collection to show off, and I'm definitely not going to be able to think of enough material to come up with a decent blog post about my favourite moments from these games.... Maybe I shouldn't be involved... I might end up boring the other members xD The only issue is if there isn't enough members here who could come up with something unique every time, it would pretty much be the same or similar posts each week/month, just from someone else's perspective. But yeah even if that still happened, I would still love to see it!
but I refuse to do it because the policy of devs with EU sucks so i won't >_>'
However, as things are now, and due to what happened, it is more unlikely than it was before.
Though one thing I thought then, and still think now, is that pieces like this are more suited to a forum. When you talk about 'Community', it brings to mind the process of discussion, and to me that's just not possible with a comment system on articles.
You want to be able to see more of the conversation, in terms of full view of the posts, viewing more posts etc. (without needing to click buttons) You want to be able to reply to specific posts, and edit your own e.g. if I wanted to updated rules in the quiz, I'd have to officially contact you to do it for me. Also going back to the community, I'm sure you'd find many people on here who would jump at the chance to be forum moderators for you.
I don't know, I guess I'm going off the point a bit lol. But yes, guest blogging as an awesome idea, and whichever way you incorporate it (if you do), I'm sure it'll go down well.
P.S. I'd love a chance to show off my dedication through pictures of my Square Enix collection =P
