What do you think is the world's most recognisable game, not only to gamers, but your average Joe and Jane on the street? GTA? Call of Duty? Tomb Raider? All very good choices, but in more recent years it's been hard not to reel off a list of contenders without mentioning Angry Birds.
Everyone who's got a smartphone has probably at one point played Angry Birds, but its success hasn't ended there. The drive to make it become a household name has seen the brand embrace everything from fluffy toys to amusement parks – and it seems like we're loving it! Rovio (the developer behind Angry Birds) recently announced that it's going to launch a 16 episode web cartoon that will dig deeper into the motivations of those kamikaze birds, a move that's sure to please their younger fans.
Square Enix itself has explored new and different ways to bring your favourite characters and stories to you in fresh and exciting ways. We've made movies, books, and comics, but - as far as I can tell - we haven't made a web-based cartoon series? This brings us to the hypothetical wonderland that is Gamer Chat!
- What game franchise do you think would make a good web cartoon series?
- What characters and stories would it follow?
- Would it be down to earth, grounded and serious, or light-hearted and humorous?
- Have you got a particular animator or artist you think would be perfect for the role?
As always, share your opinions with us in the comments. Feel free to discuss the topic and engage with each other’s ideas - but please be nice; there are no wrong answers.

New story, characters, essentially a new franchise. Web comics and web animations are great for working as kick starters (not THAT kickstarter!) to a fandom.
If it works, take it further :D
Personally, I'd love more fantasy in this world. ^^)d so I'm making something myself haha.
Obviously it would closely follow Lightning at a younger age, rather Claire Farron and how she becomes Lightning. The death of her parents and her struggles of raising Serah herself. How Lightning joined the Guardian Corps and why.
It would start out light-hearted, but from when Claire Farron become Lightning is when the mood of the cartoon would flip and become serious and down to earth.
Naturally it would mainly follow Lara.
If Lara were to have a clever sense of humor that comes through sometimes that would be a bonus.
I haven't got a specific individual in mind off hand but I'm sure there's an abundance of talented artists that could do something exciting with it. =-)
•Organization XIII, gap between BBS and KHI, pre-BBS stuff like the Keyblade war, the full journey of a certain someone from Dream Drop Distance; from one point in time to another, if you get me =P Basically anything that isn't Sora-centric (save the games for that), with a bigger focus on the KH characters over Disney
•Good mixture of all, although lesser on the humour and light-heartedness (given the above topics)
•Let Disney animate it of course
