So as Day 1 comes to a close we can't but feel a little bit knackered! Gamescom (hosted in Cologne, Germany) is arguably Europe's biggest and most important games convention. Seeing the latest and greatest games, talking to the industries top developers, and basking in the amazing hot sun; it's all hard work, (really)! 

Today has been all about one focus, the media. The average gamer isn't allowed into gamescom on the first day, allowing the information hungry journalists the time and space they need to consume everything that gamescom has to offer. Still, although the showfloors are relaxingly sparse, we've had to use the time wisely interview some very special people.

Expect some great interviews to come online soon for gameglobe, Hitman, Tomb Raider and we'll also be looking to the FINAL FANTASY XIV gameplay presentation and talking to fans.
