gamescom 2012: New FINAL FANTASY XIV Screenshots

Gamescom 2012 is a very big event for FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn as we show off gameplay for the first time. This is a great opportunity to see all the hard work that Yoshida-san and the rest of the team have put into the MMO's grand redesign. You can expect to see plenty of coverage of the show floor presentation in the next few days but in the meantime here's some brand new screenshots and character art for you to drool over.

looks nice I was tryin to request my FFXIII code on the forum but instead of logging me into the forum it just keeps taking me to a page asking me for my name / DOB etc. I put in the info and I still can't access that thread ><

Looking forward to this new version! Already love playing FINAL FANTASY XIV as it is now, but that graphic boost surly is something I will enjoy too!
Hope I can get alpha/beta access again like when FFXIV started ^^

Great news forks i just had a quick look on PSN EU store the missing fear effect 2 is back on for a great price £1.99 that a steal i bought the 1st 1 a true Ps1 classic. :)

I never said i dislike FF14 gamescom is a big event right but SCEE announce 6 new things the rest were recycle of news while SE never announce new things that what im saying yes there should be a infor on september 1st, september is TGS month.

the reason i distaste SE is not because they do dreadful games they dont but of content or should i say lack of it even disappear of content of the store Fear effect 2 is gone from eu store SCEE says not our fault same with sleeping dogs demo that it pulled you may have notice if you look back over the old posts i haven't been on here often. :/

@alistair6969 If you want to know more about the XIII universe, wait until September 1st for the 25th Anniversary Event. And Square Enix is not only focusing on Playstation anymore like it used to. It aims to please all platforms. Plus you really can't say they hate EU PS users, since you are currently getting XIV and at the moment FFv13 is a PS3 exclusive.

If you have to complain so much at least get your facts straight. There was no EU PS2 version of FFXI because Sony didn't release any PS2's with hard-drives in Europe, it had nothing to do with SE.

it strange isn't it SE clearly hates EU PSN users why EU ps2 didn't have FF11 only ******* 360 did & with it's DLC for it.

you said gamescom welcomes FF14 it would be better if New FF was showed maybe FFv13 new infor or FF13-3 or something massive out of the blue that unexpected we never seen before.

Alistair, once again your distaste for Square Enix is slightly misguided. FFXIV is coming out on PS3 so I don't see how your XI comment has any relevance. Also as I've said before, please remember that a lot of people are really excited for XIV. It might not be to your particular tastes but it's still really interesting for many. You'll have to wait patiently to hear more about the XIII universe. If we had something to announce for versus we would, but in this particular blog post we're talking about XIV and nothing else. Please keep the thread on topic.

i'm hoping this game one day makes it's way onto Xbox 360 like FFXI did. Would really love to play this game! The only MMO im really playing at the moment is Shin Megami Tensi. Hopefully that will interest me until the expansion for FFXI!
