Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX coming to Europe!

It's with great pleasure that I can confirm to you today that Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX is coming to European and PAL territories this Autumn, exclusive to the PlayStation 3, and localised in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish!

This is the perfect opportunity for the Kingdom Hearts fans among you to bathe in nostalgia and rekindle your love for Kingdom Hearts in a way you never thought possible. For starters these aren’t the games you’ve played before. Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX includes Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, previously a Japanese exclusive that introduced new weapons, new enemies, new abilities, new cutscenes, new missions, and a new secret movie - so just a few additions then! 

Also included is Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, a direct sequel to Kingdom Hearts that was also previously unavailable in Europe. Complementing these two great games are the cinematic story videos from Kingdom Heats 358/2 Days, which act as an interquel between Re:Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts II.

But it's not just unreleased versions of the games you're getting – all this content has been completely remastered to feature stunning HD graphics and brand new audio... and it’s probably the best remastering work we’ve ever seen. Bold statement I know! We’ll have a lovely gameplay trailer for you to drool over soon but in the meantime I’m sure these screenshots will keep your craving eyes satisfied until then.

Trophy addicts will also be pleased to know that they'll have their work cut out for them if they want to crown themselves a true Kingdom Hearts fan among their friends. We look forward to hearing your colourful suggestions in the comments below on what challenges the trophies might set you.

It looks beautiful, and you can really hear the better quality of the new audio, I love it!!! Counting down the unknown number of days lol, it can't come soon enough. Also, great work on the Trophies, I saw the list today. Very well thought out, and great variety in there

No-one understands how happy this makes me, seriously. This is the reason I got a PS3 for Christmas (and I got a PS2 just for KH1&2). But now we get to finally play Re:CoM, and in HD... Axel (Days) in HD... Trophies... Gotta love SE for this.
Only thing that would make it better is if Days was actually playable as a game... I'd pay so much money for that.

YAY!!! FINALLY!!! Just one problem... I don't own a PS3 :'( But with this and FFX HD coming out this year (plus having some PS1 downloads already), I think you may have convinced me enough to get a PS3 xD
Although I do wish it was also released on Xbox 360. It's annoying that most of SE's games are exclusive to Sony consoles...

Finally, the news I've been waiting for since forever, that we finally get to play KH Final Mixes!!! Awesome that we have a release window now, although I can't help but be a little sad that it's still PS3 exclusive. Would have been nicer to release it on 360 too, especially since the aim was to 'reach a wider audience who never experienced them originally' I know a lot of friends who I could have gotten into this if it was on 360 =P But nvm, a LOT of people will still get to enjoy these amazing collections, and I will be one of them - going to preorder as soon as I can.

As for trophies, I hope there's definitely a Sephiroth one! It'd be nice to finally get some recognition for that lol, although the KHII battle is harder (still never beat him on that). Counting down the months now =D Just don't release this and Lightning Returns too close together lol, I'll need time to complete one before the other

@The14thOrder It means Yoko is remastering the audio with live instruments. Don't worry, the musics are the same, just much more beautifull.

And @Ben, it's true the trophies will be 3 sets? 1 for each game including Days? Or just 1 set across all games? The US Comunity Manager said it's 3 but I would like to ear from another source.

Wait... Brand new audio? Does this mean that the OST for the games is being replaced? This can't be true! The OSTs for all KH games have been brilliantly realized by Yoko Shimomura. They have made the games what they are to me. What does this mean?

Finding out about this making it's way to Europe just made my day. Never having received Final Mix treatment or Re: Chain of Memories this'll be a day 1 buy.

As for trophies, obviously some story related ones as per usual with RPG's. Aside of that for KH1 beating it on the highest difficulty, beating the optional Heartless bosses, Sephiroth...and since it's Final Mix, Xemnas! Haven't played it in a while so not very creative with trophies atm, I guess there'll be some collection ones like opening all treasure chests in every world though.

watching the entire Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days theatre mode

beating all pre keyblade fights on Destiny Island on CRITICAL

I am happy that the game will arrive in Italy with Italian subtitles.
But the menus are in Italian?
However, a gold trophy can be: to bring the characters to liv 99 (also Sora and Riku in Re: CoM)

I hope the localisation is better than in KH 3D because in the German version there were a lot of formal errors....
"Kingdom-Schlüssel" instead of "Königsanhänger", "Muschel" instead of "Vallum", "Megaflare" became "Feuersbrunst" which was the name of one of the command styles in Birth by Sleep
and some of Riku's commands were marked as Sora's

I'm happy that KH FM will get the German and French dub, but it's sad that Re:CoM and Days don't get one ...

Well too bad my PS3 got ylod (yellow light of death) so now i only have my NES,N64, PS1, PS2, PSP, PS VITA and PC to play on. Bring it to vita or PC so that i can play it whitout having to buy a new PS3 when the PS4 is on the horizon.

This is great news! And the HD graphics looks pretty stunning. I think you would be correct in calling it "the best re-mastering work we've ever seen!" Can't wait for that trailer!

CANT WAIT TO GET BACK IN TO THIS!!! MOST AWESOME NEWS EVER!

But with the PS4 coming out with no native backwards compatability I have a slight problem. If the PS4 will not be able to stream KH 1.5 then Im stranded without a game. I have neither the PS3 nor the PS4 and if I have to I'll get a PS3 just for this. However I dont think Square would make a decision so soon but I hope that the PS4 will be able to stream the game.

Does Square have any plans for this game on the PS4? since alot of customers will be moving to the PS4 and hence will not be able to play this game without streaming capabilities..

Also was it Square's decision to keep it on Sony's platform or do contracts mean that Sony is entitled to Kingdom Hearts, no plans to release the game on Xbox or Wii U?

Again absolutely fantastic news! I will follow the KH brand wherever it goes, keep it up SE!

Awesome news! I understand the game is not dubbed in Spanish as the original was never dubbed. Although, I guess that adding Japanese dub wouldn't be too difficult as the Japanese release has that option. I think the fans of the saga would really appreciate that feature.
Thank you for the Spanish localization! I thought it was going to happen the same as It happend with KH 3D.

I'm really happy that 1.5 HD ReMIX comes to Europe and that we are finally able to play Re:CoM.
I hope localised in xxx also means that there will be dubs because for KH 1 there are French, Spanish and German dubs available!

Now really? IN SPANISH? If it's also dubbed in French, German, Italian and Spanish I'm seriously thinking of loving you again xD (I know that a dubbing is impossible but to dream is free at the moment)
