Did I mention Noctis?

Good question...but what about Noel...for me it's too much, if they all will be together ;P
who knows, but there probably going to be alot of multiple endings, one i'm hoping that the vision/dream Sarah saw of them all together at new bodham.
I'm not good with saying it right but you should get what i meant by it. Anyway hope to see good ending with everyone back together again and lighting sis back alive. :)
A full-blown console FF XII-2 would've be great although Revenant Wings was really quite good.
Anyway, this game, despite not looking like a FF title, looks really impressive. I can't wait to get my hands on a copy.
@ Gilgamesh29 - there is technically a FFXII-2, although it was just called FFXII: Revenant Wings and was released on the DS instead of on PS2/3
I’m very happy that this game appeals to you (and I’m sure many more) and I’m not trying to dampen any enthusiasm.
My issue is that it shouldn’t be your job to convince people like me that Lightning Returns is going to be good. A good product will always sell itself (and I hope that something will ‘click’ for me about Lightning Returns).
I really enjoyed both XIII and XIII-2 (despite a few flaws) and I am also really excited about both FF XIV Realm Reborn and (hopefully) Versus XIII but I’m struggling with Lightning Returns.
The FF series has lost a large level of popularity in recent years - there was a time where an FF title would have been amongst the biggest selling games of the year, FF XII-2 was #44 in the U.K. in 2012. This has got to be a concern for Square Enix and the series as a whole.
What concerns me is that there are a number of people who won’t play anything with ‘Final’ or ‘Fantasy’ in the title and I’m worried that Square and risking changing too much to appeal to an audience who will likely ignore the game anyway.
I have no issue with the experimentation that main FF games experience. Whilst I haven’t appreciated all the changes in the series over the years on a personal level – it does help keep the series fresh.
I sincerely hope that Lightning Returns is both a critical and commercial success. I feel however that I'm yet to be convinced by the large-scale changes made to this title. But I do hope to be! :)
You can start packing and not buy another FF game because that is long gone, this is a newer generation FF game, get with the time, im tired my self to try convince ppl to play RPG.
What makes an FF game for me is the characters, A.T.B. system (with at least 3 characters) and story-driven plot. I've played (and enjoyed) XIII and XIII-2 but so much about this game with just one character and a real-time action based battle system are really putting me off.
The series has never appeared further away from its PlayStation (1) hey-day.
Every time there's a new video/article about Lightning Returns, I hope to see something that allays my worries that in trying to appeal to a wider audience (that probably switches off when they hear the words final and fantasy) they are pushing long-time fans away.
I really hope I'm wrong.
Oh well, A plus for the effort though.
