PlayStation Store Sale! Lots of Square Enix games half price!

Attention PlayStation owners – for the next two weeks, a whole range of Square Enix games will be half price on the PSN Store in Europe. How's that for an awesome start to the year??

Actually, there are two separate sales – the first is a special Final Fantasy Sale, part of our 25th Anniversary celebrations, while the PSN January Sale list has been updated to cover a range of our other game titles too (and features an additional discount for PS Plus members!)

Both sales run from January 23 until February 5; all titles are the full games, unless noted otherwise.

Here comes the science:

Final Fantasy Sale – part of the 25th Anniversary celebrations: All titles 50% off

General Sale: All titles 50% off, with an additional 15% discount for PS Plus members

WELL DONE FOR THE ANNIVERSARY BUT MAKE OLDER GEN GAMES THESE PRICES TO BEGIN WITH IN FUTURE, UNLESS YOU'VE DONE SOMETHING MAGICAL TO THEM!

(I appologize in advance for the caps but I need to express my desperation for this matter with more than just words)

PLEASE SQUARE ENIX:

1.- LET US PURCHASE ALL THE LEGACY OF KAIN & KINGDOM HEARTS SERIES ON PSN-PS3/VITA FORMAT.
2.- GIVE US MORE LoK & KH RELEASES, YOU HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY, SOLID STORIES AND THE MARKET DEMAND FOR IT.

Im not asking for a HD remastered version, I dont care about them looking slightly better, I just want to replay them again. I will pay whatever price you decide for them.


I know how useless our comments are in these sort of blog but not saying anything would just be a bit worse. Hope one day, somehow, this comment reaches whoever it has to reach in order to make them happen.

I got FFVII , FFVIII and Dissidia 012 for my PSVita. It's so great being able to use the right stick to control the camera and also that the loading times are next to 0.

I'm definitely a Kain fan haha
Squall just causes me ulcers, he's so....depressing *face palm*
However, ff8 is one of the better games in terms of story, the main two characters are just a little bit hollow in my opinion.
:D But still. You need the Kain goodness~

Hmmm which haven't you played before then?
Personally I say get FF4, I liked the After Years, it was quite cute and pretty **** huge for just a little extra :O
Plus, Kain > Squall ANY DAY!

Both would be good! But I think if I buy both I'll never get around to playing the second one, or if I play them simultaneously I won't be as invested in either :P

Final Fantasy 8 for me to complete the PS1 trilogy!

Phil, I REALLY hope one day soon we can see some US imports added to the list, like Chrono Cross and Xenogears ;)

It would be nice if Tactics Ogre were also included in the promotion, because is the game I'm looking forward to buy the most. However, the promotion is still fantastic.
As said, Final Fantasy V and VI are PS one ports, but if you change the disc load speed from Normal to Fast, I think the load times are not that bad.

As a Final Fantasy fan, I already have most of these games. However I advice against purchasing Final Fantasy V and VI, as they are the PS one ports, which featured very slow loading times for some reason. After all, a new version of Final Fantasy V was slightly teased at the end of the Final Fantasy IV for iOS trailer.
