Season Greetings from Square Enix Europe
The winter celebrations have begun and another year comes to close. It's been an incredible year and a journey we've enjoyed spending every moment of with you. Together we've achieved so much and it's only going to get better from here on in.
For me personally, the highlight was celebrating the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy with our fans. It smashes the experience of E3 and puts gamescom to shame. If anything it's motivated me to organise bigger and better community events. You and I, we need to hang out more! Through the highs and lows you guys are fantastic and we owe you our gratitude. Thank you for another year of continued support.
I hope you've enjoyed this year as much as I have and that you're spending a well deserved break surrounded by family, friends, consuming copious amounts of food and drink. Meh, I'm a PS user. I've been sticking with Sony's line of console's since the PS era and have most of them, excluding the Vita. I'll also be purchasing the 4 since I was pretty much blown away during the presentation (even though we didn't actually get to see it). Plus, some of my favorite titles are on Sony consoles including the new FF that will be revealed at E3. I'm definitely interested in what Microsoft have planned though, and I will watch their presentation. But, some of the things I've heard like the the new Illumniroom (or at least I think that's what they call it) extention for the Kinect is a bit too much for an old-class gamer like me who needs his controller and a normal screen to look at. Heck, even the Kinect is way too complicated and difficult to get used to. How could anyone expect to play games without some sort of controller? Also, there's rumors going around saying the new console needs 24/7 internet connection. Even my PC doesn't have that much internet! This would be something that would make me turn away from Microsoft, even if I had previous consoles. If I were to buy something other than Sony, it would be a Nintendo 3DS.Posted by neo_bahamut on 16/05/2013 21:28

“Last year I voiced one of the main characters in this game,” said the voice actor to me. “Though I’ve done several cartoons and video games, this was a major geek moment for me to be in a FF game. You can imagine my disappointment when I found out it was canned, or shelved or whatever. I hadn’t thought about it in a while, but I Googled it today on a whim and came across your page. I appreciate your passion and hope it has an impact.
“I’m not surprised to see that another VO person reached out. You’re more or less the definitive force when it comes to a fan-based movement trying to get this thing stateside. I’m not sure what info I can give you other than what you already know. Yes, the work was done in December of 2011 and some pick-ups in 2012. I’d guess the whole process took five weeks or so to re-dub. I finished my portion top to bottom, and from what I heard through the grapevine, so did everyone else. They were syncing to picture with time codes as we went, so it was pretty tedious, but near a final form for each section that we finished, day to day. From this, I can only assume the dubbing was finished. Most all of the actors were experienced anime and video game dubbing artists.
“From what I heard (through cut scenes) it sounded really solid. Also, it was recorded at Skylark Sound in Burbank. Everyone on the production side was very talented, nice, and professional – especially the Japanese folks from SE. It’s a shame their hard work can’t be appreciated either. Anyway, that’s about all I know. It’s always a mystery when a project gets shelved.”

Highlight for me would be...getting to play Tomb Raider at Eurogamer Expo :D Followed by FFXIII-2 and Agni's Philosophy~
Looking forward to 2013, hopefully see some exciting European launch announcements like FFType-0 and be interesting to see what you have planned with the site :)
