Greetings fellow Square Enix fans, I have spoken with the higher-ups and in exchange for my services here to the Square Enix community I have been awarded the licensed use of one NERF gun. Naturally I went for the biggest one I could find - Phil Elliott isn't too impressed. So without further ado let's look at this week's news - or suffer my NERF-y wrath!

I was arranging my downloads while I found two issues of the Square Enix Magazine.
The ones with Deus Ex HR and XIII-2 on the cover.
Through Google I found a download page for at least 4 Issues on a france SE-Page.
Is there a Page/Portal for the whole set of Issues in english too?

Like with all my gaming systems, I only buy a new one after it gets a game I'm interested in. I won't be buying an Ouya at launch nor will I be buying a PS4 at launch.

I backed Ouya, so I'm looking forward to getting my hands on it soon. I think the whatever Sony have planned is going to be really interesting. I can't wait to hear more about it.

Oh boy if that true Sony & MS better watch out for the oyua the price is dead cheap too & a FF3 on a big screen too.

It out in NA in June price $99 so EU be less then that. I try give you a link if I know how to opy link on iPad it so dam hard the ps3 is easy to do it.

'Legacy' satus was a special campaign Square Enix ran last year as a kind of 'thank you' to FFXIV players who stuck with the game after monthly subscription fees became payable. Basically, you had to have paid for at least three months worth of FFIXV subscription to automatically qualify as a "Legacy' member (fees were payable in FFXIV from January 2012 to end of September 2012, just prior to the game's original shutdown). In a nutshell, it's impossible to gain now.

Really, no one seemed to care too much abut Legacy until Square Enix announced that Legacy members would have gurranteed day one access from the start of the FFXIV ARR Beta test (Phase 1) and didn't have to apply. Suddenlly it became a heated topic amongst the forum community for this reason.

Ah well, in six months after the game is launched officially no one will even care by then about Legacy, as the only really visible indication someone would even have such status is the unique chocobo Legacy members will be getting (the same one the male hyur warrior rides at the end of the 'A New Beginning' trailer). ;)

Beta invites for ARR haven't been sent out yet. But if you're not legacy it'll be hard to get an invite for the first two phases since legacy members get access first. I'm in the same boat.

If you were a legacy member on the last version, then you're automatically in beta ^^
I think they aimed for a realistic summer release of the game anyway so I think they might be on track with that. Though I could be wrong :S

I completely agree with Tanthalas. The Final Fantasy experience has been around for far too long, even with it's spins off. SE requires that they finish the Fabula Nova Crystalus series.

They won't just abandon Final Fantasy because of such an accident, take FFXIV for example! They looked at it, they heard the fans, and they listed to both the good and the bad before they took the hazard and made something new from it.
They simply want to move forward into the future of gaming where there can be more smiles and tears, that's what telling stories is about.very boring after the first few tells. However, you show up with say a cape and a broom, a saucepan on your head and get into it as your tell it.
It's another way of telling the story that captures the audiance with something they already love.
But in the sense of keeping the fantasy alive, you can't retell the same story, it has to either continue the story or be something new.
They're simply finishing the story before they give up our next set of treasures.

That's what I believe anyway.

I seriously doubt that the "future of the FF franchise depends on LR". LR is simply shaping up to be too far from what people expect from FF for it to have that much relevance. Just look at the title, the game is Lightning Returns and then FF is basically a subtitle.

If anything, if the game does poorly it'll just mean "ok, this is a bad idea, future FF main installments shouldn't be like this".

I never believe in demos or trailers that break a game, but different voices that [played] the game, I remember 1 player got it to play 1st before we joe public get to play it yip it was spoiler saying about TBC on ff13-2.

Mixed reviews means nothing same with good or **** reviews I just use them as a basic guide. Anyhow it going to end me save the world or die trying. ^_^ d

@Xaiphin totally agreed on the experience part..usually i hear my freinds saying " oh this game is so bad" and stuff like that...then i ask them...have u tryed the game?....big suprise they answer no...and ofc i say to them...how can u say that if u havent tryed it or at least tryed to understand the story and the game itself?...the change the conversation :D....any way's apart of u not liking lightning i think u do good buying the game to finish the story...as for me il buy it as soon as it comes out xD...i rly want to see how the story ends.

After reading "The Final Fantasy franchise’s future hinges on Lightning Returns (interview)", I'm left with a sour taste in my mouth.
I found it to be negatively bias, and to be fair, I doubt that FF would just disappear from the world if LR becomes a flop. I doubt it will, people may be whiney and follow others like sheep, but there are far too many people in the world that actually want to expierence things for themselves, and not judge by other opinions.
It's true I didn't want anything to do with LR in the beginning, because quite frankly, I. HATE. Her. She is an annoying character with a mono tone voice and severe emotional deficiency.
However, I want to finish the story, I want to see if the world can be saved. When you're holding the controller, it's YOU who saves the world.
So to put it straight, I want to save the world!! (Again!)

People raging over trailers, mechanics, ect. It's saddening. At least let the game come out and try it for yourself before blungeoning it to death with a hammer.
Quite frankly, I know from what I've seen so far, that it's going to be the third best set of money I will have spent of the year (Other two consist of Journey art book and Spirits Within art book).

So essentially everything I've said is bias for the game and a counter to the negativity of the article, but I wanted to share my feelings on it.
