The weekly recap arrives a little bit late in the day today and that's mostly because last Thursday we visited the Google offices and refused to leave. Did you know they have a stuffed weasel? In all seriousness I had to take time off thanks to the norovirus... but I took a Phoenix Down, so it's all good. Let's get to it!

That "Chocobo's rule the world" comp.....you need a Service account to enter but the techies tell me that I can only get this if I have FFXI or FFXIV......is that right? is this competition for FFXIV players only? to enter you also seem to have to be part of the FFXIV forum, which i can't seem to join...any help please? (if that is the case, it's a little ironic that you need to have a copy of FFXIV in order to win a copy of...FFXIV!! - ok so its realm reborn as the prize but you see my point) - can anyone help please?

I don't actually remember much about The Bouncer, but I remember loving it's style and colours, and even the story from what I'm assuming I remember of it. I think I'll have to try and buy it for summer, will play it then :D

I'm actually TERRIFIED! of Zombies. My brother decided to put me infront of RE when I was six. Couple of decades later, I'm still terrified and still having nightmares Q_Q *hides behind the giant toy dog*
Parasite Eve I never really looked into either, probably for the same reasoning I didn't want anything to do with things like RE, SH, Siren, ect. Scary-SCARY! Stuff.
What sort of game play is 3rd Birthday anyway? Is it icky survival horror game play?
I think next time I go home. I will have to have a look on youtube, Rhibena (my stuffed reindeer) in on hand, a pillor in the other and my mother sat RIGHT beside me. Knowing my luck, I'll have made all that fuss over nothing haha :)
Why do all the scary games have the most interesting stories?! (eg: Fatal Frame/Project Zero Series).
I always want to know why the world went to ****, and why there are monsters everywhere, ect, but am quickly met with "AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!IT'SGOINGTOEATMYFACE!!!IWANTMYMUMMY!" episodes.

The Bouncer, yh i remember it a a beat em up game, so action. but i don't remember ever playing it cas it was my cousin game.

as for 3rd birthday i find the story interesting even though confusing. on the question is it scary game maybe if you find RE scary but a bit less. parasite eve(and 2) will probably give you more of possibility nightmare.

I never had the opportunity to play it, but a friend owned it when we were kids. It was such an amazing game with yummy graphics and story. Wonder why they only ever made one like that.

Also, has anyone played 3rd Birthday? Q_Q is it a scary game? I want to look into it, but it seems scary and I don't need the nightmares while at university. Sleep is precious.

Honestly. I think I might be done for a few years with gaming. Forking out so much money every few years for a new console just to play 2-4 games that come out in that consoles lifetime. It's sad and getting stupidly expensive. Whats worse is, I can't just have ONE console, I have to have multiple consoles in order to play my old games >_<;
I hope to hell they fix that BS problem with the ps4 so I can finally get rid of my ps2, it barely even works anymore :'( it can't remember how to play dvds and takes a bit of a kick/nudge to get it to pick up discs too Q_Q
Miss my old ps2 games! Had so many, it was amazing!
But now, with this gen, my shelf is consisting of a hell of a lot of over priced cac.

As for DoC, never played. I was watching the CS's the other day, and sadly I know from those alone that I don't want to play it. It's a tiring story from what I've seen. I'll stick to the traditional stories and wait eagerly for the future instead :)

And, by the way, FFVII DoC is one of the best games SE ever made, and it's not really an FPS, since you play most of the game in third person. I'm not an FPS fan myself, but FFVII DoC is more than just shooting

Well FFXIII was really at the beginning of it's development when they decided to move it from PS2 to PS3, LR instead is in a much further development level. I don't think SE will throw away the work they did till this moment just to move LR on PS4. It's much more possible that FFvsXIII will be made for PS4

Hopefully the ps4 will have backward compatatbility. Let's not forget originally they started making XIII for the ps2 and then switched it for the ps3 when it was announced. Could happen again but hopefully not.

Since the PS4 is rumoured to only be available in Europe in 2014 and we know that LR will be released in 2013, I don't think there will be a PS4 version of the game.

Its not impossible, but I think its unlikely.

I don't think there be 2 the same LR-13 because 1 be superior the other wont be.

Same with FFv13 it was promise it was a ps3 exclusive, if it for ps4 fanboys will riot on the Internet. :O

@FFfreak26 if they allready announced LR for ps3 they have to launch it to ps3...but they can also launched it to ps4 as well....that may have no problems...but i guess only versus will be for ps4 because of the demanding graphics and stuff

With the expected announcement that the PS4 will be released just before Christmas, one has to wonder if work on LR FFXIII will be halted and made ready for that console instead? Could maybe also mean that Verses XIII be made for that console as well?
What's everyone else's views on this?

@Rev: My director and our lecturer just don't like each other.
I know for a fact the character designs are boring and unoriginal, but the way it was all exchanged wasn't creative criticism at all, it was just plain nasty. There was no feedback we could actually take on board and use. Was really a very painful and depressing experience.

I wonder how real studio's hold their development meetings and presentations.
I would love to get the opportunity to sit in on one one day so I can see exactly how it's really done because frankly, I have no idea. We're all just winging it, there isn't any structure at all and it's nightmarish not knowing what you're supposed to be doing Q_Q
My course isn't very good at all, but as long as I can work towards my dream and continue to create, I'll grit my teeth and bear it, So don't worry! ^^ haha I sob and sulk, and I even hate my job sometimes, but I believe deeply in what I do and love the little people I'm entrusted to bring to visual existance.

I wonder how SE studios work...@o@ ooo maybe I should research that. It's essentially a big company and with a local branch (and it's not Aardman!), that could be really education and exhilerating to learn about.
I wonder if bigger companies/studios are easier to work for than little studios. So much I want to know, but don't know where to start. Ah well! I'll figure it out before I graduate.

@Xaiphin sry to ear that....just dont give up...ul manage that A grade np u just need a little more confidence somehow ^^....dont start thinking ur letting ur group down...if ur doing all u can then ur not letting them down cause they know ur trying hard...and that counts allot!...even if ur presentation got rly bad that means ur next one will be much better!...now u know what to improve...this wasnt the last presentation right? so just keep working with ur group and ul have a great work! :P...dont worry if ur running out of cofidence or motivation, ul get them back soon...that happens to all of us ^^.

@Rev: It's a three year course. I only have four-five months left until the end of my second year. I'm doing really badly too :( I can't get a First (it's a grade, like an A) no matter how hard I try, I keep landing a few points short >_<

Awwww you can have my bills if you ever want to try them out :D haha j/k

The project we're doing at the moment is group work. I'm not sure if I'm letting them down or not. Our presentation got slated yesterday really badly :'( It destroyed the remainer of my confidence and motivation. Art block isn't helping either!

@Rev: You shouldn't worry too much about your future just yet, Rev. Finish growing up before joining the adult world. It's complicated and annoying, and honestly I want to go back home since then I don't have to cook or worry about bills.
But hey-ho!
And I'm sorry if I was way too negative yesterday. Everything just got on top of me. Spent the evening crying and sleeping. So much stress! Urgh. I still have no idea How i'm going to make it through the next few days. Deadline is Tuesday, I'm completely unprepared!
But despite all this nonsense, it's a necessary evil. I want to be somewhere I can be happy, so I need to work hard for that future :)
University is a massive challenge, but you can't go at it half heartedly or it'll defeat you, then you come away with nothing.
I'm going to continue working hard, so you enjoy being a kid for a few more years while you still can!

@Grim: I need a shot of chocobo. Got anymore cuteness to show? :D How about Moogles? :o not overly keen on Moogles, but they're still cuddley!
