The Voice Talent of KINGDOM HEARTS 3D

One of the hardest but most rewarding parts of developing games is not just bringing it to audiences of different speaking countries, but giving it the localisation it deserves. Discovering the right voice actor to represent the much-beloved characters of our games is taken very seriously. It's also very important for us to remain consistent throughout with our voice talent throughout the entire series so that you never lose the emotional connection you've developed with the characters.

In KINGDOM HEARTS 3D we're very pleased to confirm a number of fantastic voice actors who will be reprising your favourite characters.

Leonard Nimoy as Master Xehanort

Probably most renowned for his role as Spock on Star Trek (and Most recently as William Bell in Fringe), Leonard Nimoy is one of the industry's most distinctive voices.

Haley Joel Osment as Sora

It wouldn't be a Kingdom Hearts game with unforgettable voice of Sora, played by Haley Joel Osment. Haley is known for his early work as a sensational child actor in both the Sixth Sense and Steven Spielberg's A.I. In more recent times he's been involved with Wake the Dead a reimaging of the Frankenstein story.

David Gallagher as Riku

While in they remain separated, it wouldn't be KINGDOM HEARTS without Riku and Sora. Returning to play Riku is David Gallagher, most well known for his work in 7th Heaven and Super 8, but to us he will always been known as a boy and his struggle to become a Keyblade Master.

Hayden Panetierre as Xion

Lending her talents to play the 14th Member of Organization XIII, Hayden's most notorious role was playing the immortal cheerleader in the hit TV series Heroes.

Jesse McCartney as Roxas and Ventus

Joining Xion in KINGDOM HEARTS 3D will be best friend and former member of Organization XIII, Roxas. Jesse McCartney whose voice talents also appear in the TV animated series Young Justice also voices Ventus.

Quinton Flynn as Axel / Lea

His list of accomplishments are as long as your arm and you will have heard him in a bunch of games including Mass Effect 3, Sonic Generations, Final Fantasy XIII and Star Wars: The Old Republic to name a few. Quinton will be returning to reprise the role of Axel / Lea, another member of Organization XIII.

Obviously this is just the tip of the iceberg and there's a whole host of talented voices behind your favourite characters. Who are you looking forward to meeting and hearing from the most in KINGDOM HEARTS 3D?

Excited, excited, excited - really can not wait the download demo on the 3DS was amazing! Really happy that they have thrown everything they can into a Nintendo game as the Nintendo is usuallly treated badly by the games makers and most games only get released abroad not in England :Oc
All i can say is Square Enix you need to make more games for the Nintendo 3DS and the Nintendo Wii / WiiU as your style of games really are suited to the port. Thanks for making some truely unforgettable games!
SO excited about the return of Quinton Flynn and Jesse McCartney.
Well actually I'm excited about them all. But these two especially.
Nanaki i dont think she will cause isnt 3D about sora and riku's mastery exam?? but honestly i got a pretty good idea she will appear in 3D. plus i love kingdom hearts and i cant wait till it comes to the grand ol' U.S.A again lol
I'd love to hear the cast in my native language again.

While definitely enjoy the English cast of Kingdom Hearts, I feel betrayed when I read something like this: "It's also very important for us to remain consistent throughout with our voice talent throughout the entire series so that you never lose the emotional connection you've developed with the characters."

I live in Germany, and as far as I know, only Kingdom Hearts I and II have German voice-overs. Apparently, this desire "to remain consistent throughout with [your] voice talent throughout the entire series" doesn't extend to countries that don't happen to speak English or Japanese as their first language. And as you may have guessed (if your statement is any indication), I didn't feel the same nostalgic thrill in neither Birth by Sleep, 358/2 Days nor RE:coded I felt when I played Kingdom Hearts I and II. Even characters that are unique to KH like Sora or Riku felt incredibly different once I heard them speak English instead of German.

It's not like I don't understand that it isn't profitable to give the smaller handheld games a local dubbed version like they console titles, but I feel betrayed when I read statements like this. I don't want to be played for a fool just because English is not my native tongue.
OMG... All the years I have played this series I have only just realized Axel is Quinton Flynn (Raiden from MGS)... Mind blown...
Is Hayden voicing Kairi again too, or isn't she in Kingdom Hearts 3D? Either way, I'm glad she's back for Xion at least. Loved her since she first played Kairi, and she was awesome in Heroes. Same for Leonard Nemoy, who is excellent in Fringe. Quinton Flynn is always a plus as Axel too, and pretty much all the cast lol. Good news =D
The only thing that could make this news better would be the return of Billy Zane.
Best. News. EVER.
SOOOO hyped for the return of Leonard Nimoy and Hayden Panettiere especially! No one in Kingdom Hearts should ever be replaced if it can be avoided. Their voices are part of who the characters are.
Can't Wait For The Game .......& The DEMO Version For NA
