Championship Manager 17 (“Game”) Launch Competition Contest (“Contest”)

The Contest is only open to holders of an active Facebook Inc.(“Facebook”) account (“Facebook Account”) (registration is free) between 11 August 2016 at 15:00 BST and 15 August 2016 at 23:59 BST who are resident in the United Kingdom (the “Territory”) (“you”,”your”,”Contestants”,“Contestant”).

 
PLEASE READ THESE RULES (“Rules”) CAREFULLY. By submitting an entry to the Contest you agree to accept and be bound by these Rules and the terms of any policies referred to in these Rules. We reserve the right to cancel or amend the Contest at any stage if deemed necessary in our opinion and/or if circumstances arise which are outside of our control.

Entry Requirements

Contestants must possess an active Facebook Account and have access to a working internet connection and web browser in order to be able to enter. Contestants are responsible for all connection charges associated with the internet connection and any fees associated with the registration for a Facebook Account (accounts are available for free).

Contestants must ensure that their contact information is correct at the time of registration for their Facebook Account and that their Facebook private messaging service (“Messenger”) is activated during and after submission of their Entry.

By participating in the Contest, Contestants are deemed to have accepted our privacy policy and cookies policy. Contestants must have a permanent residence in the Territory. Contestants must be at least 18 years of age to enter the Contest. The Contest is not open to employees, directors or other officers of Square Enix Europe or its respective affiliates, agents, media partners and suppliers.

Theme

To celebrate the launch of the Game, comment on the Game’s promotional video on Facebook with the correct answer to a Contest question for a chance to win a Prize.

How to Enter

Watch the promotional Championship Manager 17 video which shall be published on the Tottenham Hotspurs Football Club (“THFC”) official Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/TottenhamHotspur) (the “Contest Post”) and comment on the Contest Post with the correct answer to the question “How many leagues can you choose from in Championship Manager 17?” (“Entry”). The Entry must be made on the original Contest Post. Comments made on ‘re-posts’ or ‘shares’ of the Contest Post shall not be accepted as a valid Entry.

There is no purchase necessary to enter or win the Contest. Odds of winning depend on the number of valid entries received. Only one Entry will be accepted per Contestant. Contestants may not edit their Entry.

Prize

The following items shall be awarded to the Winner:

  1. Two (2) tickets for box seats in Square Enix Europe’s hospitality box to attend the football match between THFC v. Crystal Palace on Saturday 20th August 2016 at 15:00 (the “Match”) at White Hart Lane, 748 High Road, Tottenham, London N17 0AP (“Tickets”); and
  2. One (1) 2016/17 Season ‘Home’ THFC football jersey signed by Mauricio Pochettino (“Jersey”)

The Tickets and the Jersey shall be collectively referred to as the “Prize”.

The Prize does not include airfare, ground transport to and from the Match, or other travel costs, accommodation, or any other out-of-pocket expenses., and t The Winner and his/her guest shall bewill be solely responsible for all costs associated with attending the Match.

Only entrants that satisfy the aforementioned eligibility criteria shall be eligible to win the Prize. Prizes are not transferable (exceptions shall be at the sole discretion of Square Enix Europe). Square Enix Europe shall not provide substitutions or cash alternatives in place of any Prize.

The Prize must be claimed by the Winner on the day of the Match at White Hart Lane. The Winner shall collect the Tickets at the THFC Ticket Office with a valid document of photographic identification (including passport or driving licence) at least two (2) hours prior to the start of the Match and proceed to the allocated seats to collect the Jersey. Further instructions shall be provided by Square Enix Europe to the Winner via Facebook Messenger.

The Winner and his/her guest expressly agree to abide by all THFC policies and/or regulations including but not limited to:

  1. Personnel and bag searches upon entering the stadium;
  2. Smart-casual dress code or THFC Home/Away kit only. Other football team kits shall not be permitted; and
  3. All such other policies and/or regulations communicated to the Winner and his/her guest by Square Enix Europe and/or THFC or made available on THFC’s website located at http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/home/.

Square Enix Europe shall not be responsible for any loss or damage (direct or consequential) caused as a result of the failure of the Winner and his/her guest to follow THFC policies and/or regulations.

Entry Period

11 August 2016 at 15:00 BST and 15 August 2016 at 23:59 BST

Square Enix Europe will, in its sole discretion, determine the valid and official entry time should any discrepancies of time occur. Square Enix Europe reserves, in its sole discretion, the right to extend or alter the Entry Period for whatever reason without notification.

Winner Selection

Square Enix Europe shall use computer software to select one (1) winner at random from the list of correct entries posted on the Contest Post (“Winner”).

Square Enix Europe will contact the Winner on or after 16 August 2016 via Facebook Messenger and must reply to the notification message within 48 hours (or any other period of time specified by Square Enix Europe) and provide the Winner’s mailing address, telephone contact information and confirmation of attendance to the Match. If the Winner fails to provide his or her mailing address within the time allotted by Square Enix Europe, or if the Winner is not contactable by Facebook Messenger at the time Square Enix Europe attempts to send the notification message, the Winner shall be deemed ineligible and Square Enix may select another Contestant as the Winner.

Square Enix Europe may additionally publicly announce the name, username, and/or other identifying information about the Winner of the Contest, on Square Enix Europe’s social media platforms, and/or elsewhere. 

The name of the Winner will be sent to anyone who requests the same within three (3) months of the conclusion of the Contest. Requests should be sent to Square Enix at the registered address above. 

Inappropriate Submissions

Entries containing obscenity, vulgarity, discrimination, or any other offensive subject matter and/or containing any plagiarized or copyrighted material will not be considered by the judges. Entries which infringe upon copyright/intellectual property, personal credit, privacy, are counter to public order and/or morals, are judged to be grossly deviant from the established theme, do not contain all of the required information or contain erroneous information may face disqualification. Square Enix Europe reserves the right to judge whether or not material is appropriate for public display.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY LAW SQUARE ENIX EUROPE WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ENTRY THAT IS SUBMITTED TO THE CONTEST THAT INFRINGES THE COPYRIGHT OR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OF A THIRD PARTY. YOU WARRANT AND AGREE THAT YOUR ENTRY WILL CONTAIN WORK THAT IS ENTIRELY ORIGINAL TO YOU AND DOES NOT INFRINGE OR INTERFERE WITH ANY THIRD PARTY COPYRIGHT OR OTHER RIGHTS AND YOU AGREE TO INDEMNIFY SQUARE ENIX EUROPE AGAINST ANY LOSS ARISING OUT OF ANY BREACH OF YOUR WARRANTY.

In the event that an entry violates a third-party’s copyright, the user’s Service Account may be suspended or cancelled. All entries and other materials (the "Entry Materials") (including all copyright, trademark, and other proprietary rights associated therewith) submitted by you become the property of Square Enix Europe upon submission, and Entry Materials will not be returned to any contestant. In consideration of our acceptance and review of your Entry Materials into the Contest, you hereby assign to Square Enix Europe absolutely all right, title and interest for the full duration of copyright in and to the Entry Materials throughout the world. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, you acknowledge that Square Enix Europe will own all rights to use, modify, and make derivative works of the Entry Materials, without separate compensation to you or any other person or entity. You agree to take, at Square Enix Europe's expense, any further action (including, without limitation, execution of affidavits and other documents) reasonably requested by Square Enix Europe to effect, perfect, or confirm Square Enix Europe's ownership rights as set forth above in this paragraph. Entry Materials may be used by contestants only for purposes of the Contest or for private, personal, non-public viewing. Entry materials received by Square Enix Europe may be destroyed by Square Enix Europe at any time following the Contest.

Governing Law

These Rules and all or any dispute arising from them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
